The movie starts out with a troubled relationship between Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) and her boyfriend Sam Loomis (John Gavin). Marion then steals $40,000 from her employer to marry Sam. On her way to Sam, its starts to rain. She pulls over to rest for the night. In the morning, she is woken up by a suspicious police officer tapping on her window. He asks her why she is sleeping in her car. She just tells him that she was tired and pulled over to rest, then the officer takes off but follows her. She then trades her car in for a new one and drives to Bates Motel for the night. A man named Norman Bates gives her room Number one and tells her he will go to his house and take down sandwiches for both of them. Marion hears him and his mother getting in a fight and he comes back. Marion apologizes if she made them fight but he said it was not her fault. He explains to her that ever since his father died, his mother was not the same. Marion gets nervous when he asks her what she was doing around here alone and she goes to bed. Norman gets suspicious and goes up to his house. When Marion is taking a shower a female figure comes in and stabs her to death. the figure goes back up to the Bate's house. Norman finds her then cleans up and dumps her and her car into a swamp. Marion's sister Lila Crane (Vera Miles) and Sam get worried and search for her and the money. They ask these people around the area of the motel about anywhere where Marion could have stayed over night. they say that she could have stayed at Bates Motel. They ask them if it was the one owned by a man and his mother. They reply that the man's mother has been dead for more that ten years. they go to the motel and pretend to get a room. then Sam distracts Norman while Lila goes up to his house. Norman eventually relizes whats going on and knocks Sam out. Lila goes down into the cellar and finds Mrs. Bates facing away from her she walks up to the unreponsive woman and turns the chair around. Mrs. Bates was infact a corpse. Lila screamed when Norman comes in wearing his mother's clothing holding a knife but Sam comes in and grabs Norman. They find out that he murdered his mother, father, and Marion but tried to cover up his mother's death by stealing the corpse and talked in his mother's voice. They put him in the asylum where he is thinking in his mother's voice
It's sad when a mother has to speak the words that condemn her own son, but I couldn't allow them to believe that I would commit murder. They'll put him away now, as I should have years ago. He was always bad, and in the end, he intended to tell them I killed those girls and that man, as if I could do anything except just sit and stare, like one of his stuffed birds. Well, they know I can't even move a finger, and I won't. I'll just sit here and be quiet, just in case they do suspect me. They're probably watching me. Well, let them. Let them see what kind of a person I am. I'm not even gonna swat that fly. I hope they are watching. They'll see. They'll see and they'll know, and they'll say, "Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly."
Psycho was a suspenseful picture full of twists and turns. I give it a 5 out of 5 because it was a unique and nice touch at the end. The only thing I regret was hearing all of the parodies and spoilers to the movie.
Excellent. I suggest placing your personal rating in the first paragraph...or a hint of it. Good detail. I enjoy your style.
